my horse bowed a tendon how do i treat it and will she be sound for trail riding?
My mare is 20 and i rarely ride her. She goes out for maybe 10 hours a day and is stalled over night. She bowed her tendon but not to severly. You really can’t tell by looking at it as it is minimally swollen.
So far i have poulitced her and i am going to use magnetic boots. How else should i treat it? Do i have to pput her on stall rest? I really don’t want to as she is a horse that stocks up and really needs to move around. She bowed it in turn out though because i don’t ride her.
Any advice is appreciated.
