hearing / tuning forks?
I had a head injury ( posted on another one of my questions ) This was mid Jan. started getting strange symptoms, off balance, not feeling right, etc. Sent for CT ( neg. ) and x-rays ( neg ) sent to neurologist – sending me for more test. ( e.n.g. and MRI ) and physical therapy for vertigo, but she used tuning forks on forehead, around my head, in front of my ears, side, and behind to listen for vibrations ( if i heard and when it stopped ) Behind the ear i was hit on ( which i had bruising for weeks there ) I could not hear anything at all ????
So what does that mean ? I plan to find out with this other testing , but i could not really understand her / strong accent, and i am curious now .
This is a test for your acoustic nerve…(hearing nerve)…it just simply means there is a problem with it, but does not give any specifics.
