Recovery time if you fall on ice and land on tailbone?
The best way I can describe my recent mishap is that I slipped on the ice and fell on the very lowest part of my back, which is below the waistline. It felt like I landed on bone, and I could practically hear a “crunching” sound when I landed.
I went for massage therapy, and the therapist did not think it was serious. I had really good range of motion without pain.
If sit on the floor, and lean back, I feel pain when my weight hits that bony area at the base of the spine. If I try to walk up two stairs at a time, I feel tightness and pain in the same area. It’s like the bone is bruised.
Obviously, you cannot accurately diagnose without an examination, but have you had a similar experience? Any suggestions? Observations? Recommendations? As a last note, I have had pretty bad back problems for 20 years (I am 48), and when I fell I was scared to death I’d have horrible pain. That hasn’t happened, but this (relatively mild) pain hasn’t subsided since I fell one week ago.
that is very bad fell. is very critical to line down strait and pout a hot towel in you tel bonn. i Hope you do not chip any bonn, try to avoid lifting and bending down. i remember my mather use to fry onions and pout them in a plastic bag and pout it Wear the pain is. i believe it will be pain foul for 3 t0 4 weeks. i Hope you fill better soon.
