What items can’t be carried on anymore?
I haven’t flown in a few years, not since that hole in the side of a plane incident that one August. I know they got really up tight about crap after that. I’m fly US Airways tomorrow and I’m curious about some items that may be banned now.
Mascara
Chapstick
Foundation(powder)
Also, my wrist has been pretty messed up in the last few years. Recently I’ve gone through a bout of tendinitis. I just finished up physical therapy last week and my therapist recommended I take this stuff called Thera-Putty with me. It’s basically just putty that’s a little stiffer and it’s meant to continues strengthening my wrist. Will they allow me to take that on?
I’m going to carry on my bag.

There are no restrictions on powders. Chapstick is technically a gel, and I usually put mine in the plastic bag. But when I’ve forgotten that I’ve never had a problem.
Liquids and gels must be in containers less than 3.4 oz (100ml) and all of them together must fit into a quart-sized plastic bag.
If your mascara is a liquid or a paste, it will fall under the liquid/gel rules.
There-Putty sounds like a gel, so it will fall under the liquid/gel rules too. If the container is more than 3.4 oz, you will most likely lose it at the security checkpoint.
