Mini horses used for therapy?

When I get my horse I want to get a mini horse as a companion. I also wanted to use him as a therapy animal for hospitals or nursing homes. I know this takes a special animal. They have to be sweet, patient, and loving etc. I wanted to know if they have to have special training or pass any tests? My grandma worked at a nursing home (she’s retired now), and when she did (last year) we would take our dogs and cats in to visit. They never has to do anything special other than be sweethearts I’m not sure if this is because my grandma worked there or whatever. So do they have to have training or testing? Also what would I need? Grandma said that when they had the minis visit they would have them wear rubber booties so they wouldn’t mess up the floor. So here is a list of what I’ve thought of:
Rubber boots/shoes
Pooper scooper (and someone willing to pooper scoop)
Trailer etc
Treats for them to feed it? Baby carrots maybe.

Typically, dogs that are used in nursing homes have certification as “Canine Good Citizen’s” and “Therapy Dogs”. There are similar requirements for horses. Check with your local Farm Bureau.
A diaper (like the ones they wear for driving) would be needed and not a pooper scooper!
