ok im looking into going to a community college for physical therapy for 2 years theren transfer, i live in phiadelphia i heard that Physical therapists can become board-certified specialists in the following areas
how many years of schooling is needed,and what is the average salary?( im generally looking into sports physical therapy) thank you

You can only become a specialist after you’ve been a PT for at least a year and working in one of the specialty areas. After you become a PT, if you want to specialize, you would begin gaining clinical experience in these areas. Most require 2000 hours in the specialty area. You then register to take the exam.
To become a physical therapist, is takes 6-7 years of education. Being a new graduate and without any board specialty certification, you can earn anywhere from about $55,000 to about $62,000…experience and certification increase your salary from there.
