how do you stop collar and neck pain?
so i’m a skater and i’m really into it, i’m only 13 though….so anyways i was doing a set of stairs and my wheel hit a rock while i was rolling away, ive learned its a really bad idea to land on your wrist so i turned sideways and landed on my shoulder, yea stupid idea, one side of my collar bone is sticking out much farther than the other and im pretty sure its broken but i have to wait 11 more days to be able to see a doctor i just need the pain to stop….tylenol advil and stuff like that doesnt work…creams and massages make it worse!!!!!! any ideas???
You left out a lot of information, such as why you have to wait for 11 days, what if it were an emergency? Any how, there is not much that can be done for a broken collar bone.
Try the following
The arm should be moved as little as possible.
An ice pack wrapped in a towel should be applied directly to the broken collarbone.
As pirin and acetaminophen ( Tylenol) are effective over-the-counter pain relievers. Consult a physician before using anti-inflammatories, such as ibuprofen, as these can delay healing.
A homemade sling can be formed from a large handkerchief, or towel, or from the triangle bandage found in your home first aid kit. Simply fold the handkerchief, or towel, in half to form a triangle. Then fold the triangle around the forearm with one pointy end toward the elbow and the other 2 tied around the neck. The elbow should be bent and supported across the chest.pp
