What Can I Do With These Perverts? Im Starting To Hate My Job…?
i recently started doing massage therapy and have had lots of perverts, that want something more. when i get to the legs they want me to massage “higher” and they lift up their head to look at me the entire time and always say the same thing “that feels good can you go in higher” obviously they want a “happy ending” when they do and say that i start to get very nervous and feel dirty. i often cut the massage short. i specifically say NON sexual massage on my ad. i do out-calls so im doing the massages at their homes…people like this make me hate my job…any tips on what i can do? should i just be rude and just say get off my table im leaving?
Absolutely.
It is your job to protect yourself and your mental safety as a massage therapist. Your training and hours should have included instruction on these matters; if not, then connect with fellow therapists and ask for their experiences and advice.
Over time you should become adept at weeding out the creeps through instinct and first impression alone – or even by speaking with them on the phone. Also consider operating through a spa in the beginning to build up your legit clientele, or partner up with a chiropractor.
