
Long hours working at a computer have made my neck muscles tighten permanently?
This means i’m in constant pain. is there any supplement or prescription drug that can reverse this? please don’t suggest any of the following as i have tried all with no luck: Chiropractor, physical therapy, massage, injections, heat, ice, excercises, and stretching. they all simply relieve pain temporarily, i need a permanent solution
Since you most likely are going to keep working at a computer then try your best to make your computer set-up is as comfortable as possible, regularly take breaks where you just move around and stretch, like someone else mentioned- keep doing some of the things you listed which give some temporary relief, and lastly sleep with a good neck pillow. A good neck pillow will keep you neck alignment good and muscles relaxed while you sleep. Improving the neck alignment will eventually keep those muscles relaxed which will carry over into the time you spend on the computer.
