Does anyone else have Sensory Processing Disorder or Sensory Integration Dysfunction? ?
I have Sensory Integration Dysfunction and was wondering if there are many others like me. I have been dealing with this problem since I can remember, or I should say since my mom and dad can remember. I have checked out Occupational Therapy and it is A LOT of money. My major problem is sounds like sniffling, chewing loud, things of that sort. Anything repetitive. I am suffering and now that I have children I wonder if I could have passed it to them. I need help. This problem makes it hard to keep my relationship with my husband and I am not happy! Any advice is very much welcomed. Thanks.
Umm, thanks Moped Mama but the condition I speak of is not all in my head. It is an actual Physical disease. But thanks for the suggestion.

My Nephew has it along with OCD. I do feel for you, it really can be very difficult to deal with. His issues seem to be with textures and colors (a color can be “too loud” for him), and anything binding on his skin.
