Horrible hip pain from work; what could it be?
I work as a cashier so I am on my feet a lot. 30-40 hours a week at 17 puts a toll on my body at a young age. But my hips and lower back are always in pain, more so when I have to push carts. Could it be from the weight of the carts or how I push them? Or could it be from the strain of standing & pushing the carts.
I go to a regular chiropractor so i don’t know if I should ask him about special therapy or just tough it out.
Ask the doctor and also ask the chiropractor. Maybe one of your discs is displaced. If this job gives you so much pain you must reduce your hours & start looking for a different job. Also try to get a high chair or stool at your present job so you won’t have to be standing all the time. Also walk around frequently. It will help. Hope you feel better soon.
