How do i get out of this relationship?
He was so abused as a child, he lost his only sister to cancer and his stepbrother to heart attack recently. He is in severe pain. A father of two adult sons, successful business man and yet always crying. We were friends, i arranged therapy so he could deal with the past, until i fell in love with him. I found out he does drugs,(xtc, poppers, marijuana, ghb), takes me to parties where many of them people are swingers, do drugs and wear latex ,rubber or even naked. He verbally abuses me and when i suggest just talking about issues he says its over and ignores me for a few days and later comes back. There are weeks that he turns into a lovely man and them i enjoy being together a lot. My heart is broken many times, i have to pretend i use xtc but hide these pills all the time. I feel i must stop but i keep taking him back when he comes around crying. I love him but i know i must stop. Someone tell me, how should i be strong to get out of this relationship? Help me plz and no criticism
his problems are not your burden! don’t take him back because of everything he’s been through take him back because you love him as a person and can see yourself growing with. its evident that he doesn’t treat you the best that he should but do you want a guy that occasionally treats you right when you can have a man that treats you great all the time? hes hurting and acting destructively but that doesn’t mean you have to be the one to fix it for him. tell him its over you just can’t watch him throw away his life anymore and don’t take him back when he does come back crying. stay strong because if you don’t you’ll be in this vicious cycle forever.
