Physics, problem with using the correct units?
I have this problem that gives you the frequency of an ultrasound in MHz
and gives you the speed of sound in the body in km/s
The question wants the wavelength of the body in meters.
so for the equation I got wavelength*frequency = speed
so in order to get the wavelength I got the equation to be wavelength = speed/frequency
what units do I need to convert the numbers given, so I end up with the correct units for the answer?
Before starting to solve a problem always change the given units to SI units.
You have to convert MHz to Hz (1MHz=10^6Hz) and km/s to m/s (1km/s=1000m/s).
