Which would the better choice for me be? Veteranarian or Make a beauty shop.. read please?
I am definitely taking classes next year [10th grade] for hair. I will get my college degree if I go there half day, and to school half day. I no matter what am taking that.
But I love animals, and I love make-up, hair, and that kind of thing. My 2 options are:
1) Become a veterinarian, and go to vet school. Then when I am well set.. make an animal shelter on the side.
2) Go to college for business [ 2-4 yrs] and for make-up, or hair for 2 -4 years as well. So 8 years max. Then open up a shop for nails, hair, make-up, and massages. But be cutting hair in the background [ after college.. go to hair job ] Then, after I am well set with my hair cutting job make my animal shelter on the side for animals.
Which should I pick to do?

Opening any kind of business is expensive, but it’s a great long time goal to have, especially if it involves something you love to do.
In the mean time, start small. The hair classes are a great place to start. Also, see if maybe you can shadow a hair stylist/beautician to get an idea of what the job is like. You might also talk to the shop owner to see how he or she got there.
Vet school is a long process, but if you are dedicated to school, I’m sure you can do it. Again, you might see if you can shadow a vet and see what the job is really like. If you are interested in helping at a veteranarian clinic, but not interested in tons of school, check out becoming a vet tech. I believe you can get a degree for this in just 2 years of college.
Another idea I thought of that would combine both of your interests might be dog grooming.
It’s really great that you are already thinking about your future and what you want to do with your life. It’s great to have goals you can strive for. Your career is your choice, but what ever you end up deciding to do, best of luck!
