Is there a mouse like Apple’s Mighty Mouse with a bigger all-way scroll ball?
Apple’s Mighty Mouse has a scroll ball that can scroll in all directions, but it’s a very small ball. Is there another kind of USB mouse that has a two-way scrolling thing that’s bigger than the one on the Mighty Mouse?
It doesn’t need to be wireless.

I’ve edited my answer since using an Apple Mighty Mouse today for the first time. Before I go onto the PC mice, I’ll just add that the Mighty Mouse actually has three buttons. The mouse is one big button, but somehow it detects left, middle and right clicks from where you put pressure on it. I haven’t tried it on a PC, but I believe it might work just fine. Anyway…
Yes, Microsoft invented the single-axis scroll wheel for their first IntelliMouse, and have developed it further to allow for scrolling in two dimensions. They call it 4-way scrolling, and you can learn more about it here:

IBM actually did this some years back with their mice that employed their TrackPoint ‘nipple’ technology. This allowed you to scroll along either axis, and I think might still be available. They certainly make a larger blue illuminated one (ScrollPoint) which is a little easier to manouver.

Anyway, back to the Microsoft solution, their mouse uses a normal scrollwheel for vertical scrolling since this is how you scroll most of the time. This new wheel tilts to both sides though, allowing you to also scroll left and right.
To sum up though, I’m not aware that any PC manufacturers have made mice with the same scrollball design as Apple have in their Might Mouse. While you can scroll both axis with these other mice, it’s not using a little ball. It’s also worth noting that both the Bluetooth and USB Might Mouse from Apple would work on a PC if you connected them up. However, because it only has one mouse button, I don’t know how Windows would handle that, or how you would manage your right-clicks. I know a Windows keyboard has a right-click button three keys to the right of the spacebar, but it’s not very helpful.
There are links to some source articles below for some of the mice I have referred to. If you get a chance, try these out before you buy one. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend the IBM solution – it’s not precise enough. I don’t love the Microsoft one either, but it’s much easier to live with. I hope this helps you find something you’re looking for.
