What kind of massage do I get for my hips?

I have Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome which greatly affects my hips. I’ve had two surgeries but the pain seems to keep coming back. I possibly have bursitis and tendonitis. My iliopsoas and iliotibial tendons are extremely flared. We’re trying alternative medicines: I recently purchased the Power Bandz. It’s a magnetic bracelet that’s supposed to help strength, balance, and pain. I definitely feel more energized but the pain is still there. I am now looking into therapeutic massage. What kind of massage should I get? I am looking for something that will relieve some pain and feel good at the same time. Also, I have shoulder issues, causing muscle knots to form under my shoulder blades. My back gives me quite a few problems, too, because of the way that it is curved. I figured a massage would help with those issues too. It’s worth a try; I’m just not sure what kind of massage to specifically get. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

While deep tissue massage will be good, I would also recommend chiropractic. Many of the muscle issues you are having are probably because of joint misalignments at the places the muscles are connecting. This will lead to muscle pain like you have.
