Should you / do you use hot or cold therapy for sports-related injuries?
What are the pros and cons of using either, or both even?
right after the injury, use ice for 24-48 hours – this helps reduce the swelling and inflammation. once the injury has gone down in swelling, try alternating heat and ice – you can do 15-20 minutes of heat, then 15-20 of ice….then nothing for an hour or so, then try it again. also dont forget to take something like advil, because advil will help to redce the swelling and inflammation as well.
