Costral Condritus part 2?
I have been to acupuncture. one time, scared to death of needles it wasent the thing for me. lol but for months my doctor says live your life as normally.. However I do do that. and when I get done doing wood stacking on the porch or dishes or sleeping I ache for a week and it is like hell. How much fun is it to sleep in a recliner? It sucks or tossing and turning and saying ouch every turn you make.
I have been told PT-therapy wasent good because it can stretch out to much… Just searching for some new answers that I havent heard before. Thanks all
Costochondritis is an inflammatory problem where the cartilage that joins your ribs to your sternum get swollen and hurt like crazy. There are a couple of types of this condition. The first and most common is repeated small injury to the chest area, and the second is infection of the cartilage. The standard remedy at home is Ibuprofen or any good NSAID and either ice or heat depending on which feels better for you. You MUST rest the muscles in order to recover. If you are stacking wood you are injuring it again. Remember that even when the pain goes away you are still fragile in that area so take it easy. It can take weeks or months to completely recover. You should also get your doctor to check for infection. You may need an antibiotic to treat this. Check online for websites on the subject. Hope you feel better soon!
