Do I need a license to do manual therapy on patients in our office?
Our boss has us work on patients and we are front desk workers only. We have not gone to any special school for massage or manual therapy or taken any training classes. But he says we can do it (he also lies a lot) without getting in trouble. But we have patients asking us for our license. Even our other doctor who works under him and our office manager told us we are not suppose to be touching patients only the doctors and massage therapist but when they were in front of the doctor, they just followed behind him and told us to do it. I need to find a website or something stating that in order to perform manual therapy on patients, the employee needs to be licensed to do so. thanks! if we are suppose to, that’s fine we will do it. i just want to know whats right.
