Opthalmology Professionals Only Please: 2nd opinion on gentle molding therapy for a 9 year old? Pro or Con?

i’m a big fan of ortho-k. it is not the be-all-and-end-all of vision correction, but its a good way for children (and other nearsighted people!) to not have to deal with the effects/problems of glasses or contacts during the day. i’m an orthokeratologist myself, and i currently perform ortho-k on myself. so i see both sides.

i dont know what else to tell you. i’m a big fan. i wish more people knew about it and more parents would give this gift to their children. YES it is a viable option for most nearsighted children with an Rx of between say -1.00 and -7.00 or so IMO. yes, it is safe and the “success rate” is very very high.
