Why are pregnant women NOT supposed to use the massage feature on heating pads, chairs, beds, or other items?
I understand about heating pads and hot tubs changing body temperature and possibly harming the baby. What is dangerous about using an electric massage pad during pregnancy?
I’ve never heard of that!!! I knew the thing about not getting into a hot tub if you were so far along (I got in one during the first 3 months because I was so stiff and sore all the time but the further the preg. went I just grinned and bared it) But I had not ever heard not to use the massage pads. That truly makes no sense! They have special massages out there for preg women .
Who told you not to use the pad? Was it your doc…if so tell him you’d like to know more of why…if it was just a friend then I would call and ask my ob/gyn.
