If I want to practice massage therapy on my own withouth Certification is that illegal in CA?
I want to do it for fun, to earn extra cash but don’t want to go to school I have friends that have done great masssages and I wouldn’t be charging nearly as much as certified massage therapists. I just want to make sure this isn’t illegal. A back rub is a back rub.
Charging a fee would require a license. There are also things that can happen, even with “just” a backrub. You need insurance for your own protection. If those with licenses find out you are doing this, you can be sure they will do something to stop you.
