Is it normal to feel physical pains when feeling depressed?
I have been suffering from clinical depression for more than 2 years and over the past 6 months i have started getting these weird pains when ever i go into a depressive episode. I get the pains in my ring fingers, my throat, my top ribs, my wrists and my groin. the pains feel like my bones are trying to expand while my skin and muscles are trying to contract.
i was jsut wondering if anyone knew what these pains were because i have absolutly no idea and i am not willign to go to a doctor to try and find out.
Yes pain and depression go hand in hand, Like people with arthritis for instance. They can be in pain which causes depression but on the flip side the depression can make arthritis flair ups. its like a circle. Almost sounds like fybromyalgia to me. I have this and osteoarthritis and what i did was got off the pain killers and everythingthing else they gave me and started holistic therapy, All the meds they gave me had the same side affect, more tired which made me more depressed, i also took on a relaxing hobby and ate more veggies, give it a try, it may help, i got so sick of taking pills!
