Can’t I get the same benefits of an inversion table by simply using an inclined bench of any sort in my home?
I’ve been looking at inversion tables as a possible therapy for my chronic back and neck pain. One site featured tables ranging from under $200 to nearly $1600! They all seem to do just one basic thing, though, allow you to hang upside down at an angle while supported. Not only can I not see how the prices of these table could vary so much, but I can’t see why I’d need to do anything more than create a similar set-up using a padded bench I have at home. Am I missing something (other than the profit motive)?
Nope, knock yourself out. Just make sure you have a means of securing your ankles and a means of gently tilting back to neutral position. Or, you can search on ebay or craigslist for used inversion tables.
