What heat is best for stretching? Infrared, Convection, Conduction, Heat Lamp…? help.?
There are many options for applying heat to the body. Some are:
1. Heat Pad
2. “infrared” heat pad
3. Ceramic “TDD” heat lamp
4. UV heat lamp
5. hot towel
6. L.E.D. therapy
7. other?
Im wondering what is best to penetrate deeply below the skin, and loosen up collagen, or ligaments. I know some types of therapy actually strengthen, or tighten collagen/ligaments.
Im looking for the opposite.
To INCREASE MY RANGE OF STRETCH.

Moist heat is always the best type of heat to use on muscles and joints to help loosen them up. You can use moist heat in the form of a hot shower/bath, hot towel, hot water bottle, etc. There are also some electric heating pads that produce moist heat. The other options for heat that you mentioned are not as good and not as easy to find.
