Can I get into Medical School?
I got a C in my first bio class and A in my second one. Right now I have a solid B+ in my general Chemistry class and a B in my physics 1 class. I’m a sophomore in College majoring in Biology and I plan to change my major to Business Administration soon. My freshman year I partied a lot and got a GPA of 2.42 but plan to have it come up high after this semester and so on for the later years. I should have an overall GPA of 3.2 and science GPA of 3.1 by the time I graduate. Is that good enough for any type of medical school except Chiropractic schools?
I actually plan to purchase the MCAT study guides as soon as possible. But I don’t know if it’s too soon or not??? I also don’t know which one to purchase?
Should I take any other courses to get ready for med school other than Bio, Chem, Organic Chem and Physics? (A&P maybe?).
When should I start looking for jobs to shadow the physicians?
Start looking for med experience NOW! 3.2 is less than average however, if you ace your MCAT, this will well make up for it.
