I have a question about massage therapy, for massage therapists.?
I am a licensed massage therapist, going back to work after 3 years. The spa I will be working at is high end and has many body treatments I’ve never heard of. I can do the basics and have worked at other spas before…my one fear is the viche shower. I DO NOT know how to operate it and my training day got canceled and I am expected to perform these treatments without this info. If you know how to operate them, and mayb what normal protocal would be for body treatment..ex. Wraps, while using them I will be forever greatful. Thank you SOOOO Much.
I wouldn’t do it till I got proper training on them. The lawsuit factor is high in massage therapy and if you do one thing out of line, you can be reported, have your license revoked, etc. Refuse to do the shower till you have read or got training on the spa’s protocol. Thats what I would do. People are too jumpy and if one small thing should happen, you could at least say you followed the spa’s guidelines.
